By accessing or using Mail-Temp (mail-temp.org), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Mail-Temp.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our service. Your continued use of the service constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and any updates we may make.
Service Description
Mail-Temp provides temporary, disposable email addresses for receiving emails. Our service is designed for legitimate privacy protection purposes, including but not limited to:
- Protecting your primary email address from spam and unwanted messages
- Signing up for services, newsletters, and trials without revealing your real email
- Testing applications, websites, and email functionality
- Receiving one-time verification codes and confirmation emails
- Accessing gated content such as ebooks, whitepapers, and downloads
- Maintaining online privacy when exploring new services
The service is receive-only; you cannot send emails from temporary addresses.
User Eligibility
To use Mail-Temp, you must:
- Be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the European Economic Area)
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using the service under applicable law
- Not have been previously banned from our service for Terms violations
Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use Mail-Temp only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Illegal Activities: Using the service for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to activities that violate local, state, national, or international law
- Spam and Bulk Messaging: Using temporary email addresses to send unsolicited bulk communications or to evade anti-spam measures
- Fraud and Identity Theft: Creating accounts for fraudulent purposes, identity theft, or financial crimes
- Harassment and Abuse: Using the service to harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse any individual or organization
- Malware Distribution: Distributing viruses, ransomware, trojans, or other malicious software
- Phishing: Attempting to deceive others into revealing sensitive information such as passwords or financial data
- Service Abuse: Attempting to overload, disrupt, or bypass our security measures, rate limits, or infrastructure
- Impersonation: Falsely representing yourself as another person, organization, or entity
- Terms Circumvention: Using the service to violate another service's terms of use, policies, or agreements
- Unauthorized Access: Attempting to access inboxes, systems, or data that don't belong to you
- Automated Abuse: Using bots, scripts, or automated tools in ways that violate these Terms
Service Limitations
You acknowledge and accept the following service limitations:
- Retention Period: All emails are automatically and permanently deleted after 24 hours
- Receive-Only: Temporary email addresses can only receive emails, not send them
- Inbox Limit: Maximum of 50 emails per inbox
- Email Size: Maximum email size of 1MB per message
- Rate Limiting: Maximum of 20 address generations per minute per IP address
- No Recovery: Deleted emails cannot be recovered
- No Guaranteed Delivery: We cannot guarantee delivery of all emails
- Service Availability: We do not guarantee 100% uptime
We reserve the right to modify these limitations at any time without prior notice.
No Warranty
Mail-Temp is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content
- Warranties that defects will be corrected
- Warranties regarding the security of email contents
Important Notice: Do not use temporary email for important accounts such as banking, financial services, social media accounts you want to keep, healthcare, government services, or any service requiring account recovery capabilities.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mail-Temp, its operators, affiliates, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data, emails, or other content
- Inability to receive verification or confirmation emails
- Service interruptions, downtime, or outages
- Unauthorized access to temporary inboxes
- Loss of business opportunities or revenue
- Damages arising from third-party actions or content
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mail-Temp, its operators, affiliates, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
Privacy
Your use of Mail-Temp is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review the Privacy Policy carefully to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Intellectual Property
The Mail-Temp name, logo, website design, user interface, source code, and all original content are our intellectual property or the property of our licensors. You may not:

- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute with us regarding the service:

- If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or small claims court
- Any arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis, not as a class action
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mail-Temp regarding the use of our service and supersede any prior agreements.
Changes to Terms
